Located in the Northern District of Karnataka, it has a primary integrated steel manufacturing unit, with a 22 MW captive power plant (WHRB), steel melting shop with LRF (Ladle Refining Furnace), DRI (Direct Reduction of Iron) and re-rolling mill. Bellary is also known as the steel city of India because of the availability of Iron Ore. The unit covers around 200 acres of land and has a production capacity of 46,840 metric tonnes per month and an annual production capacity of 5,62,000 metric tonnes. The plant manufactures MS Billets, Galvanised Sheet, Pipes and Sponge Iron.
